Lamongan, July 31, 2025 — Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA) officially released 549 students, including 30 from the Computer Engineering program, to participate in the 2025 Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) or Community Service Program on Thursday (31/7/2025). This program serves as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, specifically the pillar of community service.

The send-off ceremony took place at the university's main courtyard and was attended by the Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans, university officials, field supervisors, and sixth-semester undergraduate students who will take part in the program.

Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Mufti Ari Bianto, S.Kom., M.Kom., emphasized that KKN is a valuable opportunity for students to apply and sharpen their technological knowledge and skills in real-world community settings.

“We hope our Computer Engineering students do not merely fulfill administrative requirements, but also bring digital solutions and simple innovations that can benefit the rural communities where they are placed,” he stated.

One of the participants, Bufa’albadi, expressed enthusiasm and readiness to make a meaningful contribution.

“Together with my fellow students, we have prepared several plans to support the success of this year’s KKN program. We are committed to putting in our best efforts so that the knowledge we’ve gained can be of real value to the communities we serve,” he said.

This program reflects UMLA’s strong commitment—particularly from the Computer Engineering Department—to empowering students as active agents of social transformation. KKN 2025 is not just an annual academic agenda, but a strategic moment to instill the values of service, ethics, and meaningful contribution within society.
